Dear Mr. Mahalak:

Thank you for your generous donation/supporting sponsorship for the 3rd annual Monroe Half Marathon and 5K. Your donation has allowed us to run another successful race with all proceeds going directly to Monroe County Special Olympics. This year we had over 600 runners from across the United States who came out to run our brand new course in addition to the over 200 volunteers.

Monroe County Special Olympics is a 501c3 non-profit organization supported entirely by donations from businesses, individuals and fundraisers. Our organization consists of a group of volunteers who operate the program for over 500 athletes participating in 23 various sports at no cost to the athlete or their family. Approximately 150 of those athletes currently compete statewide. It is through your generosity, we are able to continue to grow and support even more athletes across Monroe County so that they can develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and achieve their dreams.

Thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of our athletes by supporting the 2015 Monroe Half Marathon and 5IC. We look forward to working with you for future races!

Dear Community Supporter:

Thank you for your generous donation to CASA of Monroe County's Forget Me Not 5K run/walk. CASA advocates for safe, permanent homes for children who have come under the jurisdiction of the court due to abuse and neglect. With support from community members, CASA can continue to train additional volunteers, as well as support current volunteers, as they make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in Monroe County.

Our Forget Me Not Event supported local efforts to fight child abuse throughout our community. Our goal was to educate others on the needs of the children who are in out-of-home placements through no fault of their own, and encourage community members to support the work of CASA as we strive to ensure that each and every child has a safe, loving, permanent home.

Once again, on behalf of our most vulnerable children, thank you.

Dear Mr. Ralph Mahalak,
Your generous donation to St. Charles School with the Ronnie Bachman assembly was very much appreciated! I saw Ronnie's presentation a few years ago as an 8th grade teacher with my students, so when the opportunity was presented to bring him and his message to St. Charles School I was very excited! Your support of this program is a blessing to our community and I sincerely want to thank you!
Again, thank you for your very generous gift to St. Charles School in bringing Ronnie to us - the students LOVED the assembly and the message!

Dear Mr. Mahalak,

We are astounded!!  Not quite sure how to express how much we appreciate your support. Your gift of $12,371 assures that we will continue in our efforts to raise funds and awareness to fight the horrible disease known as pancreatic cancer. We both know now just how devastating it is.

We feel great about the progress we have made so far. Last year we really gained some ground and know that people are starting to find out about us. We plan to continue creating events to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer. Last year we were able to give $20,000 towards research.

By November, we plan to have some informational pamphlets available at local cancer centers, medical facilities and other key points for those facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Many of us felt like we were really at a loss for where to start seeking information when we were in that situation. A local restaurant will host a fundraiser in October and we hold a PurpleLight Vigil in November.
You have been instrumental in moving PCAP forward and I am forever grateful. I really every little bit we can do will someday make the difference for different outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.

It was such a pleasure meeting you all and we thoroughly enjoyed the 18 Aces to Conquer Cancer dinner. Hope to see you again! Stay well!

Thank you,

As President of UAW Local 723 I would like to thank you for your support in making the UAW Local 723 Food Distribution Mobile Food Pantry to the needy a success.  This event was held on June 1, 2013 at the UAW Local 723 Union Hall.

About 50 volunteers from the UAW, AFL-CIO, and the local community came forth and voluntarily gave up their time from work and family to help those in need.  Union leaders, union members, and the community recognized that there is a definite need to help those who need help from time to time.  More than 350 families were able to receive a donation of food to help them in their time of needing help.  None of this would have been possible without your support of this worthy project.

We look forward to working with you again next year in being able to help those in the community who need help.  Once again thank you very much for your help regarding these matters.

In Solidarity,
Robert S. Cebina
President, UAW Local 723

Dear Ralph,

We, at Arborwood Elementary Campus, can't thank you enough for your generous donation which covered the cost of our Arborwood Choir T-shirts!  We proudly sported them several times for our holiday performances at: Mercy Memorial Hospital, Frenchtown Place Apartments, the MPS Administration Office, and of course, a concert on our Arborwood Cantrick South stage.

Our new look brings with it a sense of pride of who we are, of how well we sing, and of the school we represent.....our school, our choir, our voices....united in sound and bringing joy to all we meet!

Your generous donation of the T-shirts has made us more confident to go out into the community to sing.  Now we look good as well as sounding good!  Thank you from our hearts!

Chrysler Group LLC to Donate $100 to United Way for Every Vehicle Sold in Detroit
Metropolitan Area during December

Auburn Hills, Mich. , Dec 4, 2012 - Chrysler Group LLC announced today that it will donate $100 to
United Way for every Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram Truck and FIAT brand vehicle sold in the Detroit
metropolitan area during the month of December.

"December is a time of giving and at Chrysler Group we are fortunate to be in a position to give back
to the community that stood with us during our difficult times," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO,

Dodge Brand and Head of U.S. Sales. "Even though the Detroit auto industry is doing well again,
that success is not universally shared with all of our citizens and by giving to United Way we can help

those less fortunate get back on their feet again."

In December a year ago, Chrysler Group dealerships sold 5,203 vehicles in the Detroit metro area
during the Company's best sales month of the year. Chrysler Group is anticipating another big sales
month this December having launched its popular "Big Finish 2012" event last month. The Big Finish
promotion continues through the end of December.

This special contribution runs concurrent with United Way's annual community giving campaign that
was launched in September with a $35 million fundraising goal for the organization. Chrysler Group
LLC Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne, who serves as United Way for Southeastern Michigan's
Campaign Chair, helped kick-off the annual campaign Sept. 14 with a symbolic torch lighting
ceremony on Detroit's Hart Plaza.

"We are very excited and honored to take part in this unique, year-end promotional opportunity with
Chrysler to benefit United Way," said Michael J. Brennan, President and CEO, United Way for
Southeastern Michigan. "Chrysler employees are continuously demonstrating the type of leadership
and collaboration it takes to strengthen our community. This extra support will allow United Way to
feed more families, provide more children with access to books and connect more families to the
services they need for an improved quality of life."

With Marchionne as this year's United Way campaign chairman, food has been a major focus of
Chrysler's community efforts. Under his leadership, the Company teamed up with United Way for
Southeastern Michigan and the UAW to host a series of "Food, Friends and Fun" block parties to

raise awareness for an underutilized free, summer meals program. As a result, nearly 150,000 meals
were served to children at summer food sites - double the number served the previous year.
Additionally, employees participated in a variety of initiatives, including volunteering at local food
pantries, and donating more than 16 tons of food to local food banks.

Please join Sergio Marchionne, United Way for Southeastern Michigan's Campaign Chair and Chairman & CEO of Chrysler Group LLC, to re-ignite the massive United Way Torch in front of the Spirit of Detroit to kick-off the Fall 2012 Campaign!
